Michael Simo retires as Local 6 President; Jim Donovan is named new President

After a remarkable and distinguished labor career, Michael Simo has retired as President of Local 6. "Michael will be impossibly difficult to replace," said Local 6 Business Manager Peter Ward. "But the General Officers of our union have found the right person for the job, Jim Donovan."

Union endorses Gustavo Rivera for Senate and Francisco Moya for Assembly

With Primary Election day drawing near, the Union has announced its support of Gustavo Rivera for the New York State Senate and Francisco Moya for the State Assembly. Union members are volunteering in the Bronx and in Queens, knocking on doors and making calls to get the word out that these two candidates are the right choice for the working women and men of New York.
